Last year, the Tolmachevo airport has served 6,747,151 passengers (+14.2%). The number of passengers on domestic flights has amounted to 4,903,212 (+14.5%), and on international flights to 1,843,939 (+13,3%).

Opening of Direct Flights from Novosibirsk to Ulyanovsk

As of January 2, 2020, S7 Airlines has started flight operations to Ulyanovsk.

Flights are scheduled to operate on Embraer 170 aircraft, on Thursdays and Sundays. The flight No. S7 5063 departs from the Tolmachevo airport at 21:05 and arrives to Ulyanovsk at 22:00. The flight No. S7 5064 from Ulyanovsk departs to Tolmachevo at 22:50, arrives at 05:20 on the following day.

Passengers at the Ulyanovsk airport can take advantage in Novosibirsk of the wide S7 Airlines route network and convenient connections for flights to the following cities: Shymkent, Vladivostok, Abakan, Nizhnevartovsk, Gorno-Altaisk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk. The flights departing to Ulyanovsk connect in Novosibirsk with the flights arriving from Hong Kong, Vladivostok, Almaty, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Novy Urengoy, Surgut, Tomsk, Barnaul and Kemerovo.

Ulyanovsk is located on the banks of the Volga river. The start of flights is now possible thanks to the state subsidy program for regional air transportation. The direction Novosibirsk – Ulyanovsk has been included in the list of subsidized by the Ordinance No. 1242 of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 25, 2013, and it has been co-financing by the budgets of the Novosibirsk and Ulyanovsk regions. Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) has published a list of regional routes to be subsidised in 2020.
