Tolmachevo Airport Served 5,000 Passengers on Repatriation Flights

Tolmachevo Airport provides an organization of works on the repatriation transfer of Russian citizens from foreign countries and foreign citizens from the territory of Russia on a one-time permit basis with the observance of all requirements, guidelines and recommendations of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Federal Supervision Agency for Customer Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor).

In April – June, the Tolmachevo airport has handled 41 emergency flights. 3,380 passengers which are citizens of the Russian Federation arrived from Cam Ranh, Goa, Phuket, Bishkek, Bangkok, Yerevan, Kuala Lumpur, Tashkent, Denpasar, Dushanbe, Osh and other cities. Within three months, 1,605 foreign citizens have left Tolmachevo airport for Bishkek, Bangkok, Tashkent, Dushanbe and Osh.

The Novosibirsk International Airport (Tolmachevo) is ready to work with the resumption of regular international passenger traffic.

All measures necessary for the safe operation of air transport services in the conditions of preventing the import and spread of a new coronavirus infection within the Russian Federation are fully implemented.

Since March, our airport has organized round-the-clock duty of medical workers, thermometry of passengers using thermal imaging cameras and the method of contactless manual thermometry. Since April, mobile recirculators have been operating in the terminal to disinfect the air with ultraviolet radiation.

Wall-mounted hand sanitizers have been installed, and the frequency of sanitary treatment of airport premises using special means of disinfection has been increased. On a regular basis, the equipment involved in passenger service is to be disinfected, and the airport landside and apron section adjacent to the air terminal are treated with a chlorine-containing liquid.

Airport employees have been instructed on the topic of prevention of the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection and measures to prevent the spread of the virus. Airport employees are provided with personal protective equipment.

Ads are placed in the area of passenger and baggage check-in counters, and special markings are placed on the floor of the terminal complex and on the seats, reminding passengers to keep a social distance. There're a broadcasting announcements on speakerphones concerning a social distance and use of personal protective equipment (protective mask, gloves) at the airport and on the aircraft. Personal protective equipment can be purchased at vending machines, as well as at airport stores and pharmacies.

The Novosibirsk International Airport (Tolmachevo) named after A.I.Pokryshkin is the largest transit air hub beyond the Urals on the most important routes between Europe and Asia. At the end of 2019, the airport has served about 6,747 million passengers.
