Last year, the Tolmachevo airport has served 6,747,151 passengers (+14.2%). The number of passengers on domestic flights has amounted to 4,903,212 (+14.5%), and on international flights to 1,843,939 (+13,3%).

Tolmachevo Reaches Peak of Passenger Traffic in August

On August 8, the airport has served a record number of flights 125, with an average daily number in August of 104. In August, the passenger traffic of Tolmachevo airport amounted to 733,687 people, this is an increase of 10.5 % compared to 2018. Domestic flights at our airport have served 560,808 passengers (+11.6%), international flights — 172,879 (+7%).

For the eight months of 2019, Tolmachevo airport served 4,450,432 passengers (+14.9%). The number of passengers on domestic flights amounted to 3,255,425 (+16,4%), on international flights to 1,195,007 (+10,9%).

The number of airport transfer passengers for the first eight months increased by 35% compared to the same period last year. Their share in the total passenger traffic was 26%.

The most dynamically growing destinations in August on domestic flights were: Tomsk (+175.9%), Novokuznetsk (+169.7%), Bratsk (+111%), Samara (+102.8%), Perm (+101.5%). As for international flights: Namangan (+298.4%), Issyk-Kul (+76.1%), Karaganda (+66.2%), Yerevan (+53.6%), Almaty (+36.5%), Seoul (+39.2%), Larnaca (+37%), Frankfurt (+25.5%).

At the same time, the most popular destinations in August were Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Simferopol, Vladivostok, Antalya, Beijing, Larnaca, Cam Ranh, Guangzhou, Osh, Bishkek, Almaty, Nur Sultan (Astana), Khujand.

For the last eight months, the airport has served 21,530 flights (+12.5% compared to the same period of the last year), in August — 3,240 (+9.8%).

Since the beginning of 2019, the cargo traffic has amounted to 21,147 tons, including in August: 3,056 tons of cargo and mails.

In August, S7 Airlines and Air Astana have opened joint flights on Novosibirsk – Nur-Sultan (Astana) route, Smartavia (the previous name was Nordavia) has opened flights to Moscow, ALROSA has opened flights to Yakutsk, on August 29, a new complex of the in-flight catering facility Tolmachevo catering has been opened.

The Novosibirsk International Airport (Tolmachevo) named after A.I. Pokryshkin is the largest transit air hub beyond the Urals on the most important routes between Europe and Asia. At the end of 2018, the airport has served about 5,909 million passengers. The airport's route network includes more than 95 flight destinations. Today, the airport is offering for passengers more than 2,300 practical combinations of pairs of connecting routes.
