In the First Half of the Year Share of Transfer Passengers Increased to 26%

Following the results of the first half of the year, the number of transfer passengers of the airport increased by 41% compared to the same period last year. Their share in total passenger traffic amounted to 26%.

For six months of 2019, Tolmachevo airport served 2,994,165 passengers (+16.1%). The number of passengers on domestic air routes amounted to 2,137,253 (+17.9%), that on international ones was 856, 912 (+12%).

In June passenger traffic of Tolmachevo airport amounted to 636,990 people, an increase of 18.8% compared to the figure of 2018. 482,398 passengers (+20.1%) were served on domestic flights and 154,592 passengers (+15.1%) were served on international ones.

The most dynamic routes in June compared to the same period of the last year were: Kazan (+152.4%), Tomsk (+119%), Bratsk (+118%), Perm (+110.1%), Samara (+105.5%), Chita (+90.3%), Chelyabinsk (+69.7%), Novy Urengoy (+65.6%). On international air routes – Namangan (+119.5%), Larnaca (+51%), Seoul (+49.2%), Tashkent (+41.1%), Harbin (+40.1%).

Meanwhile, the most popular destinations in June 2019 among passengers were Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Vladivostok and Simpheropol.

Antalya, Beijing, Larnaca, Cam Ranh, Seoul, Osh, Bishkek, Almaty, Nur Sultan (Astana), Tashkent were the most popular international routes.

In June flights to Udachny (Yakutia) were opened by S7 Airlines. In addition, the flights to Voronezh, operated by S7 Airlines were included into the list of subsidised destinations list.

For the first six months, the airport handled 15,048 aircraft movements (+12.5% to the same period last year) and 3,057 (+17.5%) in June.

Since the beginning of 2019, the cargo flow amounted to 15,211 tons, including 2,671 tons of cargo and mail in June.

Following the results of 2018 the airport serviced 5.909 million passengers. The airport's route network includes more than 95 flight destinations. As of today, the airport offers passengers more than 2000 practical combinations of pairs of connecting routes.
