Challenge Airlines as a New Partner of the Tolmachevo Airport

The Belgian cargo airline Challenge Airlines has commenced technical landings via Tolmachevo Airport with a Boeing 747-400 aircraft on the route Liège (Belgium) - Tolmachevo - Wuhan (China) and back. These flights shall be operated more than 5 times a week. The first flight on this route was successfully completed on January 13, 2022.

Attracting cargo airlines to perform technical and commercial landings is one of the strategic objectives of the Novosibirsk International Airport. The Tolmachevo airport can serve transit cargo flows due to its favorable geographical location at the intersection of the main routes between the countries of Europe and Asia and the availability of modern infrastructure.

Challenge Airlines is a Belgian cargo airline based at Liège Airport. The carrier provides air cargo services throughout Europe, the Americas, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The airline's founder and owner, Eshel Heffetz, is a former Air Force pilot, economist and graduate of the Tel Aviv University. Challenge Airlines received the Air Operator Certificate in April 2019. In July 2019, the company launched flights to the USA, and in September 2020 - to China.
