Share of Transfer Passenger Traffic Grows up to 27%

The number of Novosibirsk airport transfer passengers for the first nine months increased by 32% compared to the same period of the last year. Its share in the total passenger traffic increased up to 27%.

For the nine months of 2019, Tolmachevo airport served 5,100,531 passengers (+14%). The number of passengers on domestic flights amounted to 3,739,542 (+15%), on international flights to 1,360,989 persons (+10.8%).

In September, the passenger traffic of Tolmachevo airport amounted to 650,099 people, this is an increase of 8.9 percent compared to 2018. Domestic flights have served 484,117 passengers (+8%), international flights: 165,982 (+10%).

The most dynamically growing destinations were in the last September compared to the same period last year on domestic flights: Bratsk (+124.9%), Samara (+103.3%), Polyarny (+86.7%), Kazan (+85.2%), Chelyabinsk (+82.6%), Novy Urengoy (+76.7%), Perm (+75.2%), Talakan (+69.9%), Ulan-Ude (+69.8%). On international flights: Namangan (+222.6%), Hammamet (+51.1%), Seoul (+46.1%), Bishkek (+46%).

At the same time, the most popular destinations were in September 2019 among passengers Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Simferopol, Vladivostok, Antalya, Beijing, Larnaca, Cam Ranh, Sanya, Bishkek, Osh, Almaty, Nur-Sultan (Astana), Khujand.

In September 2019, the airport has served a 5-th million passenger since the beginning of the year, compared to 2018. In addition, Nizhny Novgorod is now included in the regional transportation subsidy program.

For nine months in 2019, the airport has served 24,603 aircraft movements (+11.9% compared to the same period last year), in September: 3,073 (+8%).

Since the beginning of 2019, the cargo traffic amounted to 24,044 tons (or +5.9%), including in September: 2,879 tons of cargo and mails (+15%).

The Novosibirsk International Airport (Tolmachevo) named after A.I. Pokryshkin is the largest transit air hub beyond the Urals on the most important routes between Europe and Asia. At the end of 2018, the airport has served about 5,909 million passengers. The airport's route network includes more than 95 flight destinations. Today, the airport is offering for passengers more than 2300 practical combinations of pairs of connecting routes.
