Tolmachevo Airport Passenger Traffic Growth 14,1% for Two Months

For two months of 2019 Tolmachevo airport served 868,266 passengers (+14.1%). The number of passengers on domestic air routes was 596,591 (+17.3%), that on international air routes — 271,675 (+7.7%).

In February the passenger traffic of Tolmachevo airport amounted to 408,837 people, having increased by 12.1% compared to the figure of 2018. 281,272 passengers (+14.5%) were served on domestic routes, 127,565 (+7.1%) passengers — were served on international ones.

Following the results of two months, the number of transfer passengers increased by 42% compared to the same period last year. Their share in total passenger traffic increased to 24%.

The most dynamic routes in February compared to the same period last year on domestic airlines were: Ulan Ude (+126.1%), Novy Urengoy (+107.1%), Kyzyl (+92.3%), Perm (+88.7%), Blagoveshchensk (+75.4%), Chelyabinsk (+63%). Namangan (+161.8%), Phu Quoc (+150.3%), Tashkent (+81.6%), Cam Ranh (+68%), Seoul (+66.8%) — on international ones.

For two months the airport served 4,380 aircraft movements (+11.8% to the same period last year) and 4,372 tons of cargo and mail (+3.2%).

Novosibirsk international airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest transit air hub behind the Urals on the most important routes between Europe and Asia. In 2018, the airport served 5,909 million passengers. The airport route network includes more than 95 flight destinations. As of today, the airport offers passengers over 2,000 practically used combinations of pairs of connected flights.
