New special equipment at the airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo)

The park of special equipment of Tolmachevo airport was replenished with new cars in the frame of the ground handling equipment modernization program. As part of the Regional search and rescue coordination center two AA-8.0/60 airfield fire trucks were put into service.

The fire trucks are designed for fire-fighting support of flights and protection of airport infrastructure facilities, made on the basis of all-wheel drive chassis KAMAZ-43118. The truck can bring to the site of an emergency a crew of six people, 7,500 liters of water and 700 liters of foam, and for gas extinguishing — 50 kilograms of carbon dioxide. The acquisition of a new type of firefighting vehicles aimed at providing an additional insuring a high level of fire protection.

A distinctive feature of the car AA-8.0 / 60 is a new, spacious plastic cabin combat calculation. The fire pump provides 100 liters of water per second for simultaneous use of fire monitor and bumper mounting.

In total, Regional search and rescue coordination center (RSRCC) includes 11 vehicles of different types.

To ensure flight safety the personnel of RSRCC have been trained and certified in accordance with SCAA standards. Complex exercises are regularly held, which allow to work out the actions of rescuers in emergency situations.

Regional search and rescue coordination center (RSRCC) of Tolmachevo airport was established in 1997 and aimed for search and rescue and fire preventing of the flights according to the Air lows regulations of Russian Federation, ICAO recommendations and other normative papers. Strength and facilities of the Search and Rescue units at JSC «Tolmachevo Airport» provides the opportunity of the airport to handle all types of Russian and foreign made aircraft according to the ICAO regulations.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories.
