Tolmachevo airport served more than 1 million passengers for three months

For the three months of 2018, Tolmachevo airport served 1,172,313 passengers, which is 24.6% more than last year. The number of passengers on domestic flights was 784 782 (+26%), on international flights — 387 531 (+21%).

In March, the passenger traffic of Tolmachevo airport increased by 23.5% in comparison with the indicator in 2017 and amounted to 411 528. On domestic flights 276 170 passengers (+24,9%), on international flights — 135 358 (+20,7%) were served.

The most dynamic destinations of March on domestic airlines were Krasnoyarsk (+184%), Blagoveshchensk (+153%), Chelyabinsk (+107.8%), Novy Urengoy (+94%), Khanty-Mansiysk (+82%), Surgut (+70%). International —Phuket (+159.9%), Dubai (+115%), Bangkok (+97.8%), Seoul (77%), Shymkent (+91.7%), Astana (+59.8%).

The number of airport transfer passengers increased by 30.8% in the first three months compared to the same period last year. Their share in total passenger traffic amounted to 19.4%.

In the period from January to March, the airport served 6,095 aircraft movements (+18.3% to the same period last year), in March — 2,179 aircraft movements (+17.7%).

In January-March 2018, the cargo traffic amounted to 7,197 tons (+14%), including in March — 2,960 tons of cargo and mail (+12%).

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories.
