Tolmachevo Airport has summed up the results for January

For the first month of 2018 Tolmachevo Airport served 395,986 passengers, which is 23% more than last year. The number of passengers on domestic routes was 262 855 (+24%), on international flights —133 131 (+21%).

The most active destinations for January on domestic flights were Gorno-Altaisk (+326%), Krasnoyarsk (+247.9%), Perm (+210%), Chelyabinsk (+164%) Talakan (+108.8%) and Novy Urengoy (+98.8%). At the international level, Dubai (+233%), Phuket (+150%), Seoul (+111%), Hong Kong (+105%), Astana (+77.7%) and Shymkent (45%).

Over the holiday week of January, the airport served 103,734 passengers, which is 23.8% more than last year. The number of passengers on domestic routes was 70,916 (+24.8%), on international routes - 32 818 (+21%). The most popular among passengers were flights to Phuket, Dubai, Seoul, Goa, Hong Kong, Yerevan, Astana and Harbin on international routes, to Neryungri, Krasnoyarsk and Talakan — on internal routes.

The number of transfer passengers in the airport in January 2018 increased by 35% compared to the same period last year. For the first month of 2018, the airport serviced 2,037 aircraft departures (+ 17.7%) against the same period last year). Freight traffic amounted to 2,054 tons of cargo and mail (+ 21.7%).

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories.
