Alexei Chertenkov: "It is the State, who should invest in aerodrome development".

Alexei Chertenkov, General Director of JSC "Tolmachevo Airport", and Victor Tolokonsky, Governor of Novosibirsk region, shared their opinion in respect of the perspective of Tolmachevo Federal Block of Shares transfer into the region's property.

Novosibirsk region is not against if 51% of JSC 'Tolmachevo airport" State Block of Shares would be transferred from Federal property to regional. Victor Tolokonsky, Governor of Novosibirsk region, declared that "if it is initiated from Federal authority (Ministry of Transport, Russian Federation), I will certainly support it".

According to it, Mr. Tolokonsky emphasized, that "based on the ethical moral regional authorities would not hardly insist on the gratuitous transfer", because airport capitalization has greatly increased last years "thanks to the state support". In particularly, 500 million rubles were invested in second runway construction in 2007, in 2008 Federal budget will invest 1,3 billion rubles to complete it.

Besides, the Head of the region is aware that Federal financing could be lost with the state block of shares obtaining. Alexei Chertenkov, General Director of the airport, shares this point of view. "Runways are very expensive infrastructure objects, with not only regional, but federal importance from the point of defensive capacity – emphasized Mr. Chertenkov. – That's why the state should invest into the aerodrome network development". But generally, Tolmachevo transfer into the regional property will increase real manageability and investments attraction of the airport".
