Baggage Allowance

Passenger’s baggage is accepted for transportation after check-in at the airport of departure, transfer, stopover or another check-in point, according to Chapter X «Baggage Transportation» of the Federal Aviation Rules.

A passenger of an aircraft has the right to take his/her baggage within the established norm for no additional charge.

The conditions of carriage of baggage, carry-on baggage and animals should be checked with the airlines. When planning an international travel, it is recommended to learn the rules in force in the country of entry.

Free baggage allowance, including things on the passenger, is defined by the carrier depending on the aircraft type and may not be less than 10 kg per passenger.

The excess of free baggage allowance and without charging a fee the passenger is entitled to carry the following items if they are on the passenger and are not put into the baggage:

  • a handbag or briefcase;
  • folder for papers;
  • umbrella;
  • walking stick;
  • bouquet of flowers;
  • outerwear;
  • print publications for reading during the flight;
  • baby cot for a child;
  • stretchers, crutches, a wheelchair for carriage of passengers with reduced mobility. These things are not for weighing, are not subject to registration and not marked with tags.

Carry-on baggage includes the things the weight and dimensions of which are set by a carrier and allow a safe placement of the things in the cabin of the aircraft.
