From 31 March a summer schedule with the opening of new flights, resumption of seasonal routes and increase in flights frequency in a number of destinations is effective at Tolmachevo airport.

Results of the First Five Months, Share of Transfer Passengers – 25%

Following the results of five months the number of transfer passengers increased by 43% compared to the same period last year. Their share in total passenger traffic amounted to 25%.

For five months of 2019, Tolmachevo airport served 2,357,180 passengers (+15.4%). The number of passengers on domestic air routes amounted to 1, 654,855 (+17.2%), that on international ones was 702,325 (+11.4%).

In May, passenger traffic of Tolmachevo airport amounted to 525,883 people, an increase of 15.7% compared to the figure of 2018. 382, 378 passengers (+16.5%) were served on domestic flights and 143,505 passengers (+13.7%) were served on international ones.

The most dynamic destinations in May compared to the same period last year on domestic airlines were: Novokuznetsk (+511.7%), Gorno-Altaysk (+492.8%), Ulan-Ude (+170.9%), Chelyabinsk (+152.4%), Perm (+122.3%), Novy Urengoy (+97.2%), Sochi (+81.4%), Blagoveshchensk (+78.6%), Chita (+76.5%). Shanghai (+188.5%), Namangan (+160.7%), Tbilisi (+110.5%), Cam Ranh (+70%) – on international ones.


Meanwhile, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Sochi, Antalya, Cam Ranh, Beijing, Bangkok, Sanya, Bishkek, Osh, Almaty, Tashkent, Nur Sultan (Astana) became the most popular destinations in May, 2019 among passengers.

In May, S7 Airlines started flights to Guangzhou, the third largest city of China after Beijing and Shanghai.

For five months, the airport served 11,991 aircraft movements (+11.3% to the same period last year), in May — 2,730 (+11.7%).

Since the beginning of 2019, the cargo traffic amounted to 12,540 tons, including 2,667 tons of cargo and mail in May.

NOVOSIBIRSK A.I. Pokryshkin International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest transit air hub beyond the Urals on the most important destinations between Europe and Asia. Following the results of 2018 the airport serviced 5.909 million passengers. The airport's route network includes more than 95 flight destinations. As of today, the airport offers passengers more than 2000 practical combinations of pairs of connecting routes.
