Transfer Passenger Traffic increased by 47% in January

For the first month of 2019 Tolmachevo airport serviced 459,429 passengers (+16%). The number of passengers on domestic routes amounted 315,319 (+19.9%), that on international routes was 144,110 (+8.3%).

Following the results of January the number of transfer passengers increased by 47% compared to the same period last year. Their share in total passenger traffic was 24%.

The most dynamic destinations in January compared to the same period last year on domestic routes were: Perm (+123.5%), Khanty-Mansiysk (+118.2%), Kyzyl (+112.7%), Neryungri (+102.1%), Blagoveshchensk (+98.4%), Chelyabinsk (+74.7%), Omsk (+72.2%), Magadan (+65.2%), Ulan Ude (+64.3%). Namangan (+200.7%), Tbilisi (+112.3%), Phu Quoc (+98.4%), Tashkent (+71.3%), Cam Ranh (+69.3%), Prague (+54.8%), Seoul (+37%) - on the international ones.

Meanwhile, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Bangkok, Cam Ranh, Phuket, Bishkek, Osh and Tashkent became the most popular destinations in January among passengers.

In January, the airport serviced 2,307 aircraft movements (+13.3% to the same period last year) and 2,012 tons of cargo and mail.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub east of the Urals on the main air routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, and international terminal capacity is 1,300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II categories.
