On 24 November 2017, Novosibirsk Tolmachevo airport reached a new record level in the history of the number of passengers since the beginning of year – 4, 5 million. Jubilee passenger was a Beijing resident – Mr. Zhao Jianping who flew from Novosibirsk to Moscow on an S7 184 flight of S7 Airlines with a transfer stop in Novosibirsk airport.

International Passenger Traffic at Tolmachevo Increased by 63% in March
Over three months of 2017 NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport served 940,626 passengers, which is 27.8% higher compared to the same period in 2016. The number of passengers on domestic air routes was 621,136 people (+16.4%) and that on international air routes - 319,490 (+57.9%).

In March, passenger traffic of Tolmachevo airport increased by 28.7% compared to the same figure in 2016 and was 333,344 people. 221,164 passengers (+16.3%) were served on domestic flights and 112,180 passengers (+63.2%) were served on international ones.
The number of the airport transfer passengers increased by 74.5% in March, compared with the same period last year and their share in total passenger traffic increased to 18.5%.
The five most dynamically growing domestic destinations in March were Krasnodar (+159.7%), Tyumen (+155%), Sochi (+146.4%), Simferopol (+124%) and Khanty-Mansiysk (+103.1%). Cam Ranh (+239.3%), Fergana (+150.2%), Yerevan (+141.1%), Namangan (+111.3%) and Goa (+97.2%) are the most dynamically growing on the international routes. In March, the growth of passenger traffic on far abroad destinations was 92.4% and that on CIS destinations was 30.6%.
In January-March the airport served 10,300 aircraft movements (+19.7% year-on-year), in March - 3,702 aircraft movements (+23.8%).
Over the first quarter of 2017, 6.302 tons of cargo and mail were handled (+21.7%), including 2.640 tons of cargo and mail in March (+27.4%).
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories. In 2016 passenger traffic of the airport exceeded the mark of 4 million passengers.
